Small Grant Program
To support active research in these turbulent times, the Sustainable Communities TAE invites applications for a spring semester 2021 small grant program. This new program supports research and creative activities associated with the equity, economic and environmental impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding of up to $2,000 can be used to support graduate student stipends, honoraria for virtual visitors, training costs, and the acquisition of supplies and data.
Applicants can request up to $2,000, but funded amounts may be less. In order to fund as many projects as possible, we encourage applicants to request only the minimum amounts needed. All awarded funds must be spent by May 31, 2021. Funds cannot be rolled over to future times. Funding is contingent on IRB approval. Projects involving students must be submitted by a faculty PI. Applicants are asked to focus proposals on work that can be accomplished in the time available (given the constraints currently in place due to COVID-19). At the conclusion of the award period (May 31, 2021), awardees must submit a report to the TAE on their accomplishments.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, beginning immediately and until currently allocated funds for this program are exhausted or April 8, 2021. For complete application information, .
