Sexual Violence Prevention Climate Survey

Consistent with policies of The State University of New York, 绿帽社 participated in the 2023 University-wide Biennial SUNY Uniform Campus Climate Survey. The survey gathered information about student and employee experience with sexual and interpersonal violence and knowledge of policies and resources.

The survey was sent to 17,701 students and 2,865 employees. 1,060 students and 802 employees responded to the survey, for response rates of 6 percent and 28 percent, respectively.

In the survey, 37 percent of female students (440 students), 13 percent of male students (245 students), and 58 percent of Gender Non-Binary students (23 students) reported that they were subject to sexual harassment in the prior year. Twenty-nine percent of female students (432 students), 13% of male students (286 students), and 43% Gender Non-Binary students (40 students) reported that they were subject to sexual assault in the prior year. Eighty-three percent of students indicated familiarity with affirmative consent, 54.9 percent indicated that they knew how to report, and 38 percent indicated they knew how to find the Title IX Coordinator.

绿帽社, working with community colleagues (including students, faculty, and staff), will use these data to improve response to violence, develop prevention programs, and will continue to study the issue.

The Climate Survey will be administered again in the Spring Semester of 2025. More information about the Survey is available at .
