'A Day in the Life' of an Emergency Medicine Physician and Assistant Medical Director
- Dr. James Rodriguez '99
- Friday, February 28 | 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Atrium, Old Champlain
Dr. Rodriguez will walk us through his ÂÌñÉç experience, medical school, residency, fellowship and career as an emergency medicine physician and assistant medical director. Dr. Rodriguez will answer questions from students.
Dr. Rodriguez majored in biological sciences and earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse. He completed an internship and residency in emergency medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Rodriguez is an emergency medicine physician with clinical and leadership experience working at academic and community-based emergency departments, urgent care centers, and with adult and pediatric patients. He is the Assistant Medical Director and EMS Director at Teamhealth.
'A Day in the Life' of a Gastroenterology Fellow

Dr. Bernshteyn will walk us through her ÂÌñÉç experience, medical school, residency, and fellowship and answer questions from students.
Dr. Bernshteyn majored in integrative neuroscience at ÂÌñÉç and attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Bernshteyn stayed at SUNY Upstate Medical University to complete an internal medicine residency and serve as chief for quality and patient safety at the Syracuse VA Medical Center before joining Guthrie for her gastroenterology fellowship, where she is in her third year.
