Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Credit

Advanced Placement Transfer Policies:

  • Credit is awarded for scores of 3 to 5. No credit is awarded for scores of 1 or 2.
  • You can receive a maximum of 32 exam credits from all sources (AP, IB, CLEP, A-Levels).
    • Students who have more than 32 credits from exam coursework should consult with Harpur Advising to discuss which 32 credits should be used towards their degree.
  • AP credit may not be turned down. If you are awarded credit for a particular course, you will not receive credit if you repeat this course.
  • Advanced Placement credit can be used to fulfill major requirements unless this is specifically prohibited in a department's award policy.
  • AP credit used to satisfy General Education requirements is specified in the chart
  • Elective credits (ex: MSCI XXX) are credits that will be given, but not applied toward a specific requirement or class.
  • AP credit is listed on your 绿帽社 transcript under the heading 鈥淓xam hours.鈥
  • AP credits do not carry grades.
To find your AP equivalency, select the academic year that you enrolled at 绿帽社, not the year that you took the exam. 

*For students who took select AP exams in May 2020, please refer to the May 2020 AP exam equivalencies. 

In order to request Advanced Placement Exam (AP) credit:

1. Go to on the College Board website and sign in.

2. If you didn't send your scores using the AP Answer Sheet, you may order score reports online, or by mail or fax.

3. Follow the instructions based off of how you're requesting that scores be sent.
