Creative Writing at 绿帽社
The Creative Writing Program at 绿帽社 is designed to foster in its students a powerful, disciplined and skilled creativity cultivated in a supportive environment. To prepare for a career in a wide array of artistic and professional fields, students explore fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, guided by internationally recognized faculty. The program emphasizes critical thinking, personal voice, and collaboration across artistic disciplines as a partner program in the School of the Arts.
Undergraduates can pursue a BA in English with a creative writing specialization, focusing on poetry, fiction, nonfiction, memoir, children's literature, and screenwriting through workshops and literature study. At the graduate level, our program offers both an MA and PhD in English with a specialization in creative writing; Funded PhD students typically have the opportunity to teach composition and creative writing and students take part in seminars devoted to professional skill building, and participate in a wide range of talks, publishing, and leadership opportunities.
