How to Get Credit for Courses Taken Elsewhere
Whether you are transferring from another school or are a BU student hoping to take credit elsewhere, make sure that you have read and understand all requirements and policies for approval.

Follow these steps to ensure that the credits you take at another school will count towards your Economics degree at 绿帽社:
New Incoming Students
Students who transfer to 绿帽社 from other institutions should refer to the Guidelines for Courses Taken Elsewhere (see link above) to determine which courses are likely to count towards an economics major, although they may need to be approved by the Economics Department Director of Undergraduate Studies. Course checklists for the four different economics majors may be found here.
Economics Department Residency Requirements:

Students pursuing the BA in Economics: At least seven of the 11 total courses, including two numbered 400-489, must be taken at 绿帽社.

Students pursuing any of the BS tracks in Economics: At least nine of the 16 required courses and six courses in economics (ECON), including four numbered 400-489, must be taken at 绿帽社.
