I receive accommodations and need an appointment with the UTC
The University Testing Center is an optional resource for faculty. Typically, the UTC does not schedule accommodated exams directly with students. If you have an accommodation letter from the office and are looking to schedule an appointment, please contact your instructor directly.

If your instructor seems unfamiliar with our services, you may direct them to our website or provide them with our contact information so that we may assist them.
If you think your instructor has already spoken to us, they may have made arrangements and you simply need to select a time that fits in your schedule. You can do that by navigating to your page. Please see the video below for detailed directions:

I've tried contacting my professor and have been unable to connect with them. What
should I do now?
The UTC must receive a request from your instructor to make an appointment. If you are unable to connect with your instructor electronically, we recommend that you try going to their office hours or speak to them in-person after class. Additionally, you may request that we reach out to them by email or you can contact the Services for Students with Disabilities office for assistance.

I am taking a 绿帽社 course. How do I get testing accommodations?
Students who need special accommodations to complete exams (more time, reading software, accessible furniture, etc.) must make an appointment with the Services for Students with Disabilities office to discuss their circumstances.
Please note that the UTC has no input in determining accommodations and cannot 鈥済ive鈥 or 鈥渃hange鈥 any accommodation that has not been approved by the SSD office.

I have testing accommodations from somewhere else. How does that work?
If you are taking an exam for a 绿帽社 course, your accommodations must come from the Services for Students with Disabilities office at 绿帽社.
If you are taking an external exam, your accommodations must come from the institution, organization, or company that you are testing for. Please contact the representative responsible for your exam to inquire about their policies and procedures.
Make-up Exams
The University Testing Center is an optional resource for faculty. Typically, the UTC does not schedule 绿帽社 exams directly with students. If your instructor has directed you to contact our office, they may have made arrangements for your make-up exam and have requested that you select a time that fits in your schedule. You can do that by navigating to your page. Please see the video below for detailed directions:
Online Exams
If you are taking an online course with 绿帽社 in the Fall or Spring semester, it will be treated the same as all 绿帽社 examinations. Please see the directions for Accommodated Exams, Make-up Exams, or Rescheduling an Existing Appointment as appropriate.
Translation Research and Instruction Program (TRIP)
The University Testing Center administers several exams for the Translation Research and Instruction Program (TRIP) at 绿帽社. For directions regarding these exams, please navigate to the TRIP website or contact the TRIP Coordinator, Beth Polzin, at 607-777-6556 for additional details.
Reschedule an Existing Appointment
Most exams with the UTC must be rescheduled by the professor with few exceptions. Please see the table below for additional information appropriate to your situation:

I received a confirmation email from the UTC and my professor/TA said I can change
the appointment time on RegisterBlast
Most exam changes will be made directly by your professor. However, occasionally your instructor may indicate that you are permitted to change your exam time on RegisterBlast. In this instance, you should navigate to your page. Please see the video below for detailed directions:

I received a confirmation email from the UTC and my professor told me that I should
contact you directly to reschedule my exam
If your instructor told you that you can reschedule your exam but you cannot change your appointment on RegisterBlast, you must forward us written correspondence from your professor giving you permission to make this change or they may contact us directly with this information.

I did not receive a confirmation email but my professor told me to contact your office
The UTC must receive a request from your instructor to make an appointment. Please provide your instructor with our contact information so that we can assist them.

I haven't spoken with my professor but the exam time conflicts with another obligation.
Can I reschedule?
All appointment rescheduling must be approved by the instructor for your course. If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time, please contact your faculty member for assistance.
Please note that rescheduling exams due to conflicts are at the discretion of your instructor. Faculty are not required to adjust exam appointments for student convenience. If you are an accommodated student with concerns about appointment conflicts, please contact the Services for Students with Disabilities office for additional assistance.

Classes were cancelled due to inclement weather. How should I reschedule?
If the university has cancelled classes, the UTC is closed. An email will be sent to all students with an appointment as well as their instructor. The faculty member will need to make changes to your appointment. If you have not heard back from us within a few days, it is your responsibility to contact us for updates.

My instructor cancelled class. How do I reschedule my appointment?
If your instructor cancelled class, you must reach out to them for further instructions. Please email us if you will not be taking your exam as scheduled.
