Cordelia Martin-Ikpe, a Harpur College Presidential Diversity Postdoctoral Fellow in Africana Studies, specializes as a health geographer. Her research underscores the nexus between neighborhood socioeconomic characteristics and racial health disparities in the urban post-industrial cities of the Midwest and mid-Atlantic United States. She is also involved in projects that explore the complex interplay between globalization and population health.
With a dedication to health equity and spatial justice, Martin-Ikpe鈥檚 research methodology is rooted in a blend of spatial theories, combined with both quantitative and qualitative techniques.
