As a rule, once the Residential Life staff receives approved materials, efforts will be made to post the information in a timely manner.  Groups are encouraged to plan ahead so that flyers/posters can be approved and the appropriate number of copies distributed to the staff at least one week in advance of the event or activity.  Staff will make concerted efforts to highlight campus wide programs during their weekly staff meetings and encourage Residential Life Student Staff to promote them to the residents as well.

The specific policies for posting information in residential areas are the following:

  • Material to be posted must first have the approval of the Assistant Director of the area or designee, must follow the established departmental guidelines, and be in compliance with the University's posting/promotion policies found in the Student Handbook.
  • Posters/flyers may not be larger than 11 X 17 inches.
  • Approved material can only be posted on the approved bulletin boards or in approved posting areas designated by the Assistant Director or designee.
  • Only one copy of the approved material can be posted at each approved posting area or bulletin board.
