��ñ�� is the top-ranked SUNY for value according to U.S. News & World Report, which has for more than three decades included ��ñ�� in its annual lists of top-notch schools.

��ñ�� is by far the best SUNY school for value according to the national publication, coming in at #73, a full 20 spots ahead of the next SUNY school (SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry) and 47 spots ahead of the next University Center (Stony Brook).

“We so often tout our exceptional faculty and the stellar education we provide our students — and rightly so,” said President Harvey Stenger. “But we sometimes forget that we also provide a value that is hard to find elsewhere. Our strong retention and graduation rates clearly demonstrate that our students come to ��ñ�� to complete their education and graduate on time, and that speaks to our value.”

“These annual rankings serve to highlight ��ñ��’s strong foundation of academic excellence and commitment to access for students of all backgrounds,” said Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Donald Hall. “As our dedicated faculty and staff work to provide all of our students with the best educational experience possible, the true value of a ��ñ�� education rises to the fore.”

The University is again ranked #83 overall and is at #35 in top public schools.

U.S. News focuses on 17 measures of academic quality to compile its rankings, including graduation and retention rates, student selectively, financial resources per student, class size and the percent of faculty with terminal degrees in their field. In addition, factors such as the student to faculty ratio, average federal loan debt of graduates and a peer assessment are taken into account.

��ñ�� also placed in U.S. News’ rankings of schools that are best for accounting (#50), best for veterans (#51), the most innovative (#68) and least debt (#83). Additional appearances for the University included individual undergraduate programs: nursing at #67 (up from 96); engineering #94 (up from 114); computer science at #110 (up from 122) and undergraduate business #108 (up from #125).

In other rankings news, The Princeton Review again included ��ñ�� in “The Best 388 Colleges” guide, with the University placing #18 on its Top 20 Best Value Colleges without Aid list, #20 on its Top 50 Best Value Colleges (Public Schools) list and #18 on its Top 20 Best Career Placement (Public Schools) list.
