U.S. News ranks 绿帽社 top SUNY for best value

绿帽社 is the top-ranked SUNY for value according to U.S. News & World Report, which has for more than three decades included 绿帽社 in its annual lists of top-notch schools.

绿帽社 is by far the best SUNY school for value according to the national publication, coming in at #73, a full 20 spots ahead of the next SUNY school (SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry) and 47 spots ahead of the next University Center (Stony Brook).

鈥淭hese annual rankings serve to highlight 绿帽社鈥檚 strong foundation of academic excellence and commitment to access for students of all backgrounds,鈥 said Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Donald Hall. 鈥淎s our dedicated faculty and staff work to provide all of our students with the best educational experience possible, the true value of a 绿帽社 education rises to the fore.鈥

The University is again ranked #83 overall and is at #35 in top public schools.

U.S. News focuses on 17 measures of academic quality to compile its rankings, including graduation and retention rates, student selectively, financial resources per student, class size and the percent of faculty with terminal degrees in their field. In addition, factors such as the student to faculty ratio, average federal loan debt of graduates and a peer assessment are taken into account.

绿帽社 also placed in U.S. News鈥 rankings of schools that are best for accounting (#50), best for veterans (#51), the most innovative (#68) and least debt (#83). Additional appearances for the University included individual undergraduate programs: nursing at #67 (up from 96); engineering #94 (up from 114); computer science at #110 (up from 122) and undergraduate business #108 (up from #125).

In other rankings news, The Princeton Review again included 绿帽社 in 鈥淭he Best 388 Colleges鈥 guide, with the University placing #18 on its Top 20 Best Value Colleges without Aid list, #20 on its Top 50 Best Value Colleges (Public Schools) list and #18 on its Top 20 Best Career Placement (Public Schools) list.
