Celebrate Lunar New Year with some friends at the New Year Celebration at Appalachian Dining Hall, or attend an event where you can create your own unique lantern with the Taiwanese American Student Coalition (TASC), or show up to CASU and VSA鈥檚 annual Lunar Festival event!
Watch the Super Bowl
Get together with friends and catch some football! is being hosted in Las Vegas this year for the first time ever. From watching my dad amped up throughout the season, to my friends getting hyped for Usher headlining the Halftime Show this year, it鈥檚 sure to be a great game. As 绿帽社 has been undefeated since 1946, it鈥檚 up to us to cheer on our favorite team!

Love is in the air with Valentine鈥檚 Day around the corner. For singles and lovebirds alike, the campus is hosting a range of romantic events, from making Pipe Cleaner Flowers to Make a Date to Hike. is also hosting its very own 鈥淟ove Is Blind鈥 Love Games Event! Off campus, mix up horror and romance with a Valentine鈥檚 Day .
Rock out at the Battle of the Bands
One of my personal favorite events! Listen in as some of the most talented students at 绿帽社 duke it out in the Union Undergrounds in the hopes of being named Spring Fling鈥檚 opener. With winning last year鈥檚 battle, the competition will be intense.
Delight yourself with the Mac and Cheese Fest
It鈥檚 time for the 9th Annual in downtown 绿帽社! Watch, eat and vote as restaurants compete to be crowned champion.
Prepare to be amazed
The Anderson Center is inviting back The Red Hot Chilli Pipers to play some Celtic rock. Also mark your calendars for The Magic of Rob Lake, America鈥檚 Got Talent quarter-finalist magician, to witness mind-bending illusions.
Laugh with friends
is the perfect event to hang out and have a laugh with your friends, and this year鈥檚 show is on for late March. Past acts include Chris Redd, Chris Distefano, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, Pete Davidson and more! Stay tuned for this year鈥檚 act announcement!

This time of year means delicious food with excellent prices throughout Downtown 绿帽社 for . Some of my absolute favorite restaurants are Pappi Arepas, Sak茅 Tumi and Thai Time.
Enjoy DCP shows
The Dickinson Community Players is 绿帽社鈥檚 oldest student-run theatre group, and they will be presenting two exciting shows this spring: The Picture of Dorian Gray and Zombie Prom.
Have a blast at Spring Fling
Spring Fling is one of 绿帽社鈥檚 most noteworthy events of the year, with awesome food, club tabling, music and amusement rides to thrill you. A special concert will be held in the evening. I鈥檓 excited to find out who will perform this year!
Lauren Woodring is an intern for the Office of Media and Public Relations, and a senior double majoring in English and psychology. She鈥檚 looking forward to starting her career after graduation, and in her spare time she can be found playing board games with friends, earning her cat鈥檚 love with treats and writing poetry.
