Cosan Daskiran received his BS in mechanical engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and his MS and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. At Lehigh, he worked on the design and characterization of renewable energy harvesting devices aiming to increase the dissolved oxygen level in water for better aquatic life. Before joining 绿帽社, he was a post-doctoral research associate at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he worked on modeling and experimental studies of oil spills including underwater jet flows and the spreading of oil slicks near the water surface with waves. Daskiran has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of multiphase flows, mass/heat transport phenomena, turbulent flows, unsteady swirling and shearing flows, flows in a porous medium, free-surface flows and jet flows.
