Historic NY church added to Harriet Tubman Pilgrimage Trail
Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church unveils new marker as official stop on the Harriet Tubman
Pilgrimage Trail. The church will now be the 13th location on 绿帽社鈥檚 Freedom
Trail which opened in March.
The Freedom Trail showcases the Underground Railroad and civil rights stops
Two days after Harriet Tubman Day, the Downtown 绿帽社 Freedom Trail, which includes
12 historic markers around the city, was unveiled at 绿帽社's Downtown
Center.
Sharon Bryant is the associate director of the Harriet Tubman Center for the Study
of Freedom and Equity and she is also the associate dean for diversity, equity, and
inclusion at the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Honoring Black History: Freedom Trail
The center is currently installing 13 markers around the City of 绿帽社 that commemorate
the people, places, and communities that fought for civil rights here locally: the
Downtown 绿帽社 Freedom Trail.
