Project Description
In honor of Chuck Pettus and his lasting contributions to conservation and the community, the Waterman Conservation Education Center and the Windsor Historical Society will be hosting a special celebration on Tuesday, May 7th — what would have been Chuck's birthday.

Chuck Pettus generously donated his 105.9-acre property in Windsor, NY, to the Waterman Center, with the wish that it remain forever wild and accessible to the community. In 2016, it became known as the Pettus Hill Preserve, with trails named in his honor.

We’re looking for volunteers to help support this event:

Set-up: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Event attendance (optional)

Clean-up: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This is a great way to give back, support local conservation efforts, and celebrate someone who made a tremendous impact on our community.
