The Southern Tier Young Professionals are looking for a creative intern who likes to learn, is passionate about content creation and social media engagement, and is willing to learn and apply new skills to create social media content. Bonus (but not required): interest and/or experience in digital marketing (e.g., ability to analyze performance data and provide feedback to increase performance). Intern will receive mentorship and learning opportunities that will enrich the experience and intern's résumé. We encourage all interested applicants to apply and to apply at their earliest convenience. Remote and hybrid options available. Internship can be for credit or non-credit bearing. Hours and days are flexible.
Duties
The duties will be centered around social media content, engagement, and new ways to attract new, potential members.
1. Create event graphics for display on social media platforms and website
2. Develop and create engaging content and content ideas across various social media platforms
3. Develop creative strategies to drive brand visibility, community engagement (social media and in-person events), and growth
4. Analyze performance data to inform content strategies (optional)
5. Provide feedback about our social media strategies
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends
Examples of social media audience types: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, X, LinkedIn, etc.
Examples of types of social media engagement: likes, comments, posts, traffic, etc.
