Description:
Gain meaningful experience while making a difference in the community. The Health Screener Intern will assist in administering health screenings for community members as part of the partnership with Care Compass Network. The intern will work closely with multi-lingual health navigators and community health workers to conduct health assessments, assist with client intake, and track screening data. This role provides exposure to public health workflows, insurance systems (Medicare, Medicaid), and an opportunity to directly impact community health outcomes. Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting health screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, etc.)
Support community health workers with patient intake and documentation
Track and enter screening data into appropriate systems
Provide follow-up support for clients, connecting them to further resources
Shadow health insurance navigators to learn about insurance enrollment and eligibility.
