EXCELERATOR challenge exceeds expectations
Starting at 8 a.m., April 17, the University community was asked to hit the EXCELERATOR for ÂÌñÉç. For the ensuing 1,946 minutes — a span of time chosen because the University was founded in 1946 — alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends absolutely floored it.
Alumnus guides AI-powered company
Although Ryon Batson '21 enjoyed electrical engineering, he craved a business-inventive career. This led to his discovery of industrial and systems engineering. He co-founded FairSplit, an AI-powered insurance company designed to reduce tensions between workers and employers during employee transitions.
